EMERGING ARTIST PROGRAMS

In partnership with Legs On The Wall and the Australian Theatre for Young People

Steps & Holes is passionate about training young people in multidisciplinary and physical theatre practices, developing creative instinct and cultivating pathways. Our 10 week training program delivers specialised workshops with leading artists across a range of practices: movement & the ensemble, writing, puppetry & object play, clown, aerial, directing & dramaturgy, musical composition & sound design, visual design (set, lighting and video). Previous tutors include award-winning, main stage artists and industry leaders. 2026 tutors include Kate Walder (Movement & Writing), Damien-Warren Smith (Clown), Max Lyandvert (Composition & Sound Design), Hayden Tonazzi (Directing & Dramaturgy), Catherine Wait (Aerial), with more to be announced.
